Located at 140 Wesley Avenue in Midtown Jackson, The Hangar is a state-of-the-art production facility born from the vision of Roderick Red, founder of Red Squared Productions, a celebrated Black-owned company dedicated to telling Mississippi’s stories. Addressing a critical gap in infrastructure—lack of soundstages, affordable rentals, and collaborative spaces—The Hangar offers a full creative ecosystem. It features coworking offices, professional equipment rentals, podcast and photography studios, collaborative spaces, and Mississippi’s first true soundstage designed for film, music videos, and commercials. This facility aims to keep local creatives rooted in Mississippi by providing accessible, high-quality resources to nurture their work.

ELSEWORKS has partnered closely with Roderick Red to advance The Hangar’s development by preparing investor-ready pitch materials, detailed financial projections, and identifying grant, tax credit, and strategic partnership opportunities. Market analysis reveals strong demand, with the soundstage rental market growing at over 12% annually and significant film incentives flowing into Mississippi.
