Northshore Coffee
2024-Current
When you think of traditional coffee shops, familiar names like Starbucks, Dunkin, or Dutch Bros often come to mind—but so do long lines, missed orders, and baristas struggling to get your name right. Enter Zeke, an innovative automated beverage machine brought to Millsaps College in partnership with Trey Malone of Northshore Coffee. Located conveniently outside the Leggett Center cafeteria, Zeke reimagines the coffee experience by delivering consistent, high-quality cold beverages quickly and efficiently, eliminating many of the common frustrations of typical coffee shops.
Since launching this semester, Zeke has undergone a successful beta test, backed by extensive market research and vibrant social media campaigns to build a strong campus presence. While Zeke excels at reducing wait times and ensuring order accuracy, the team recognizes current limitations—including a narrower cold beverage menu and some customers’ preference for handcrafted drinks. To deepen community connections, Zeke has even been personified with a mascot, engaging students through events like the Zeke Energy Expo, which drew over 100 participants and fostered campus excitement. This project not only supports Northshore Coffee’s vision for innovation but also serves as a pioneering model for the future of automated coffee service in busy environments like college campuses.
